This is my first..
unless you want to count the silly things I use to do...but I don't think they count.
So..
what does one talk about in their first message to the internet at large?
...world hunger?
...poverty?
...global warming?
nay nay good reader...I prefer to talk about matters that I understand.
So, my first talk....chemistry.
Lovely topic, eh?
I love chemistry. I'm not always the best at it but I love everything about it. Lab work, graphs, lab reports, balanced equations, titrations, mechanisms (seriously, I do these for fun), spectroscopy (hooray NMR!!!), conversion factors, extractions, etc. You name it I probably love it. I wouldn't want to do anything else with my life. In high school it was a toss up with all of my teachers as to what I was going to major in. I was good at everything. But my chemistry class as a junior was the class that I enjoyed the most, much to my science teacher's delight. (hears to you Mr. Bullman.) The end to the story is that I went to college and majored in biochemistry...and I couldn't be happier. I loved my organic classes, my gen. chem classes, my biochemistry class, and I even enjoyed my analytical class. I love this major so much that I'm taking a chemistry class that I don't have to take.
Some may call me odd, really who would want to put themselves through something as difficult as chemistry?
I would. And I know at least 30 other people who have put themselves/putting themselves through the same crazy that I'm going through.
The moral of the story readers,
...Love what you do....if you're not mad excited about what you're doing...maybe you shouldn't be doing it. If you're not excited to wake up and do your job...find a new job. Find something you love to do and do it.
Happy hunting.
